Have you ever noticed that when you grease your king pins the grease always comes out the end closest to the end where the grease is being applied and hardly ever comes out the other end.
Simple physics – it is only taking the path of least resistance. This is apparent to the king pin on the left.
The fix – drill the grease hole out on the other end to make the path to both grease hole the same.
As the king pin on the right shows grease coming out of both grease holes. I have drilled the top hole 1/32th bigger than the bottom hole which allows grease to flow out both grease holes.
If you do this it will keep the king pins and bearings from getting dry and freezing up.
Simple easy and doesn’t cost nothing to make your racing life easier and your parts will last longer.
